Foods & Nutrition A and B is a prerequisite to Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) and Culinary Arts. Together, they cover many topics in foods and nutrition that help students learn how to take care of themselves and their family through cooking and choosing healthy options. Food and nutrition are always connected and is discussed throughout the courses. Additional topics related to foods will also include diabetes, cholesterol, types of fats, and micro-nutrients (vitamins and minerals) that are essential for healthy lifestyles.
